It is known that Kittu was a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel and one of the leaders of LTTE who fought for the Eelam liberation. Suseendran responsed to it “No, it is not about Eelam liberation or the Sri Lankan war. Maaveeran Kittu is about a brave person who fought for the rights of people of Tamil Nadu during 1985”.Sri Divya plays the role of Gomathi in Maaveeran Kittu. She says “it will be a very emotional and romantic film”  during press meet.
