Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a Indian biographical drama movie based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. The movie is written and directed by R. Madhavan, also he plays the role of Nambi Narayanan along with Simran. The movie shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and English, the latter as Rocketry: Nambi Vilaivu and features a soundtrack composed by Sam CS. The Rocketry is a biographical movie based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who fought years on end for justice after being falsely accused of espionage. Nambi Narayanan was awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award by the Government of India, in 2019. Nambi was in-charge of the cryogenics division, he was falsely charged with espionage and arrested on 1994. The charges against him were dismissed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April 1996, and the Supreme Court of India declared him not guilty in 1998.ReleaseThe movie is scheduled to release on 1 July 2022. The post-theatrical digital streaming rights were purchased by Amazon Prime Video, and streaming from July 26, 2022.
