Karnan began streaming on Prime Video from 14 May 2021. Box officeKarnan registered ₹10.40 crore at the box office, which marked Dhanush’s highest opening in his career.Despite 50% occupancy limit, the film earned ₹25.60 crores during the opening weekend, due to the positive word-of-mouth. In total, the movie collected 63 crore for 3 days at box office.
