Nanthuni movie is based on the real story of Nanu Asan (Vijayaraghavan) who lived in Valluvanad village 80 years ago. Nanu Asan was a member of Peruvannan, the only community which gave traditional treatments to smallpox patients in those days, when several superstitions on reasons behind the outbreak of smallpox were so prevalent that no one dared to attend any smallpox patients.Nanu Asan was very dedicated to care for patients and saved the lives of several people in the village. Even Nanu Asan’s life had a tragic component. His wife died after giving birth to a daughter (Mithuna). The movie revolves around the close relationship between Nanu Asan and his pretty daughter. Vijayaraghavan handles the role of Nanu Asan and debutante Mithuna will play the role of the daughter. Saikumar has a meaty role in this film.
