Moothon is a Malayalam drama movie directed by Geethu Mohandas. The movie stars the film stars Nivin Pauly, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shashank Arora and Melissa Raju Thomas in the lead roles. The movie depicts the story of a boy searching for his elder brother. Nivin Pauly will be seen playing a character named Akbar in this movie. Moothon is the third film of Nivin Pauly to hit theatres this year. Previously, he was seen in Love Action Drama, which had hit theatres for Onam and emerged as a tremendous success at the box office.Story In DetailMulla (Sanjana Dipu), a teenager from Lakshadweep is longing for his elder brother aka Moothon, who went missing. After a series of incidents, Mulla reaches Mumbai and ends up in a sex workers’ colony in Kamathipura, where he meets a sex worker named Rosy (Shobita Dhulipala). Later, he gets kidnapped by a gangster who is referred to as Bhai (Nivin Pauly) and his associate Salim (Shashank Arora). What happens to Mulla forms the crux of the story.
