Puzhu is a Malayalam crime-thriller movie, directed by debutant Ratheena PT. Puzhu stars Mammootty, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Nedumudi Venu and Athmiya Rajan in the lead roles. Puzhu is bankrolled by Mammootty’s close associate S George, under the banner CynCill Celluloid. If the reports are to be believed, Puzhu marks Mammootty’s comeback to the negative roles after a long gap. The movie has its screenplay penned by Harshad, Sharfu and Suhas. Theni Eswar has wielded the camera for the movie. Story In DetailPuzhu revolves around the relationship between an upper-caste ex-police officer (Mammootty) who is called Kuttan, and his young son Kichu (Vasudev). The duo shares a toxic relationship, where the father controls Kichu to the extent that he feels extremely suffocated and claustrophobic. Kuttan shares an equally problematic relationship with his estranged younger sister Bharathi aka Achyol (Parvathy Thiruvothu) and her husband (Appunni) who belongs to a lower cast.
