Kai Po Che movie is the daptation of Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel “The 3 Mistakes of My Life”.The film title Kai Po Che is a Gujarati phrase meaning “I Have Cut” which refers to a kite competition where one of the competitors uses his kite to cut off another competitors kite and yells “Kai Po Che!” However, ‘Kai Po Che’ is not three words, but two words ‘Kaipo Che’. ‘Kaipo’ means ‘cut’. splitting it into two words ‘Kai Po’ confuses, and does not immediately relate to the intended meaning.The movie portrays the journey of three friends as they discover cricket, religion and business in their respective fields.It is set against the backdrop of religious politics, the story underlines the three mistakes made by Govind.
